Lemon Poppy Seed Bread


Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

3 c flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. oil
1 1/2- 2 tsp poppy seeds
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
Zest of 1 lemon, finely grated
Glaze:
Juice of 1 lemon
3-4 Tbsp confectioners' sugar

Mix wet ingredients, then add dry. Pour into 3 greased loaf pans (or 2 large) and bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Mix all glaze ingredients together and put on top of bread while still hot.
